MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Reader

It is an honour for me as Principal of Motheo FET College to introduce to you this dynamic centre of learning which was formally established by the Department of Education: Free State, on 1 April 2002.

Our intention in this College is to facilitate, through our training, the transition for young people from school into the world of work, and just as importantly, to provide the world of work with an employable product.  Opportunities for life-long learning through various programmes as well as through articulation with other institutions will be made available on your doorstep.

We intend to give you, our students, the opportunity to prepare yourselves for the world of work, and also to help you to develop into effective and proud citizens of a democratic society.  The Motheo FET College will attempt to provide access to everybody who would like to capitalise on these challenges.

We accept the challenge to provide responsive, needs-driven training to our customers within an acceptable time and at a price that is affordable.  Above all, we intend to meet the needs of industry and the community in terms of well-balanced, appropriately trained people who can take the lead in addressing the social and economic demands of our society.
