CODE OF CONDUCT - ALWAYS WITH RESPECT

PHILOSOPHY:
Motheo FET College is a non-racial, non-sexist, non-discriminatory, apolitical institution committed to affirmative action, providing access to relevant career-Orientated education and training in an environment of trust, equality and mutual respect.

We strive together to create and maintain a healthy and harmonious physical and intellectual environment in which students and staff can be free to develop and achieve their highest potential to promote a culture of teaching and learning guided by our vision:
•  the college campus/property should be treated with pride and respect - it belongs to you;
•  respect smoke free zones;
•  observe silence signs;
•  do not litter.

The conduct of each member of the college community should respect the rights, values and dignity of others:
•  theft in any form will not be tolerated;
•  firearms and dangerous weapons are forbidden on the campus;
•  polItical canvassing is not permitted;
•  offensive or polItical slogans in any form are unacceptable;
•  party polItics may not be discussed in lectures.

The actions of each member of the college community should uphold a code of decency, honour and self-respect:
•  the use of alcohol is only permitted at official functions and then only with official approval;
•  the use of illegal or narcotic drugs is forbidden on the campus;
•  punctuality should be observed at all times;
•  offensive language and behaviour is unacceptable;
•  personal pride in appearance should be upheld;
•  pornographic material is not permitted on the campus.
